Early on Friday morning, October 3rd, it was reported that barber Luis Fernando, known as “Ifer King,” was murdered with a knife in the Bellavista neighborhood, causing shock among the local community, as he was well-known in the state for his profession.
According to police reports, around 2:30 a.m., Municipal Police officers were patrolling the intersection of Tabasco and República de Costa Rica streets when they observed a couple carrying a bloodied man. As they approached, authorities noticed blood on both their clothes and a puddle on the pavement indicating that he was being dragged.
A few meters away, they found Luis Fernando tied up and suffering from multiple knife wounds. Although he was immediately taken to a hospital, he died shortly afterward. A knife with traces of blood, allegedly used in the attack, was seized at the scene.
The couple was arrested and handed over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office. Among them was Diana, a trainer and influencer from the state of León, identified along with a man as likely responsible for Ifer King’s murder, as they were allegedly the ones carrying him in public.
The State Attorney General’s Office continues its investigation to clarify the events. The death of “Ifer King” has sparked a strong reaction on social media, where friends, family, and colleagues remember him as an entrepreneur who promoted the culture of modern barbershops in León and built a community through his craft.
