Josué Guerrero “Cheche,” the young man who went looking for work and was recruited by Los Mayos, is found dead

After several months of uncertainty, the search is over for the family of Josué Guerrero Espino, known as “El Cheche,” the 17-year-old who disappeared in April of this year after being tricked with a false job offer and recruited by the Los Mayos faction of the Sinaloa Cartel.

From the Chihuahua State Attorney General’s Office, Guerrero Espino’s mother confirmed in a video the discovery of her son’s body and thanked family, friends, and the media who covered the case during the search for the teenager.

“We already have him and we are going to bury him (…) Thank you all so much for your support. The search is over,” said the young man’s mother in a brief message shared on social media.
