Alejandro ‘N’, leader of ‘La Chokiza,’ charged with organized crime for kidnapping

Alejandro Gilmare ‘N’, alias “El Choko,” identified as the leader of the group known as “La Chokiza,” was charged with his alleged involvement in organized crime for kidnapping, and a five-month supplementary investigation was opened.

The charge hearing was held this Wednesday in the federal judicial district of Almoloya de Juárez, in the State of Mexico, where his private defense attorney sought to obtain his dismissal from prosecution.

According to the investigation by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), “El Choko” is linked to a cell identified as “La Chokiza,” primarily active in Ecatepec, and is believed to be its leader.

The indictment initially indicated that he is possibly responsible for the crime of organized crime for the purpose of extortion; however, the presiding judge deemed it necessary to readjust the classification to organized crime for the purpose of committing the crime of kidnapping.

It is presumed that he is the leader of a criminal cell that operates as a group that would forcefully recruit merchants. If they resisted, he would presumably use two groups: one of robber barons and one of potential kidnappers to subdue them.

It was also explained that he apparently held leadership roles and that, according to the investigation, he also has ties to various politicians.

‘El Beto’ was also charged with allegedly staging car crashes.
Along with ‘El Choko,’ Luis Alberto ‘N,’ alias ‘El Beto,’ was also charged with allegedly being a member of a group dedicated to staging car crashes for the benefit of “La Chokiza.”

Both were charged with their alleged involvement in organized crime for the purpose of kidnapping; while ‘El Beto’ also faces unlawful deprivation of liberty for the purpose of aggravated express kidnapping.

Since he was accused by someone of being the victim of deprivation of liberty, the person demanded 9,000 pesos in exchange for not harming him.
