Christopher ‘The Visa Remover’ Landau; the nightmare of Twitter users and singers

Written by Parriva — September 8, 2025

Since Christopher Landau was ambassador to Mexico, he demonstrated that social media is his forte.

He could be seen working on issues as well as wrestling, eating tacos, or boasting about his devotion to the Virgin of Guadalupe.

He is currently Undersecretary of State, and from Washington, he always reminisces about his travels through Mexico and maintains a constant activity as an Xstar.

“Your traditions and your friendship are with us today and forever,” he posted last Christmas on his X account.

By reviewing his personal account, one can learn about his opinions on world events and his affection for cities like Bogotá and Mexico City, even about his children’s adventures and the death of his father-in-law last month.

His posts are always well received from Mexico: “Remember that the 4 Times Heroic City and Port of Veracruz will always be your home,” wrote one of his followers.

And another added, “May God guide him and may the friendship between Mexico and the United States be strengthened.”

On his official account, he posts topics related to his position and the government policies that Donald Trump has established from the White House.

“Normally, when there are differences between countries, representatives of both governments can meet to try to resolve them; that’s what diplomacy is all about. But that assumes both countries actually have governments. Unfortunately, that’s not the case with Venezuela, which has been kidnapped by a criminal gang,” he wrote about Nicolás Maduro last August.

As an X-rated star, he has also used his position to make decisions.

And it’s worth remembering that the National Visa Center, a division of the United States Department of State, is the agency in charge of processing immigrant visa applications outside the United States.

In this context, Landau has ordered visas to be canceled or confirmed the cancellation of some through his X account.

The first case was that of Melissa Cornejo, a Morena councilor in Jalisco, who criticized the raids against migrants being carried out in the United States.

“They’re going to take away visas from those who share… Long live the race and shove my visa up your ass,” Cornejo wrote, with a photo of the protests attached, which reads “Fuck ICE.”

Landau reacted to this message by pointing out that those who promote violence and challenge the authorities are not welcome in his country. He warned that Cornejo’s visa would be canceled.

“I can’t mess with your visa, but I can inform you that I personally ordered its cancellation after seeing this vulgar post. And you shouldn’t be surprised by what they replied: that you don’t even have a valid visa to cancel,” the Undersecretary of State wrote.
