A Control Judge in the State of Mexico ordered the release of Alejandro Germán “N,” better known as Lord Pádel, and his partner Othon N, following a request for an injunction preventing their arrest following their arrest on August 14 when he arrived at the Cancún airport with his wife Karla Alejandra N and Germán N, who were also arrested.
The family is accused of attempted murder for assaulting a man during a Pádel tournament in the municipality of Atizapán de Zaragoza. After a hearing, the man known as Lord Pádel left the court free, while the rest of the defendants were remanded in custody.
After hearing this motion, his son, Lord Pádel Jr., just 19 years old, burst into tears upon realizing that his father had requested the injunction for himself and that he would remain in prison.
The family’s attorney spoke to the media upon leaving the courthouse and noted that the release of two individuals is due to a constitutional 72-hour period while the case progresses, and they must report to authorities.
The next hearing will be held at 11:00 a.m. to reveal whether Lord Padel’s wife and son will be charged or released.
