working with startups to accelerate the commercialization of clean technologies; transforming markets through partnerships with policymakers, innovators, and market leaders in zero-emission transportation, clean energy, and sustainable cities; and enhancing communities through workforce development, pilots, and other programs.
We help cities shape and issue RFIs for needed climate solutions to identify startup and corporate innovation, select solutions, and fund pilot(s) for startups to deploy in the innovation “sandbox”.
We help mayor’s offices and local government via a city-to-city, peer-to-peer network to share learnings, scale the viable business model and policy solutions, as well as convene key private sector leaders and policymakers to unlock market forces of cohort cities.
Once startup solutions are proven, LACI helps scale startups via LACI’s debt and venture funds as well as incubation services access to workforce training.
