‘El Mini Lic’ had threatened Camilo Ochoa; Peso Pluma and Gail Toys in the spotlight

The murder of Camilo Ochoa Delgado, known as ‘El Alucín,’ has once again brought the influence of Dámaso López Serrano, alias ‘El Mini Lic,’ and the La Mayiza faction into the public debate. The former hitman and influencer was murdered after being threatened in a newsletter that, he claimed, was issued on the orders of this rival.

Camilo Ochoa was shot dead on Saturday afternoon in the Lomas de Cuernavaca neighborhood of Temixco, Morelos. The Morelos State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) confirmed that it had launched an investigation after his body was found inside a home, following reports of gunshots. Paramedics confirmed that the influencer died as a result of the gunshots.

According to witnesses cited by El Sol de Sinaloa, an assailant fled in a Chevrolet Sonic after the incident. State and federal authorities are collaborating to determine responsibility. The crime occurred just days after a series of printed flyers began circulating, identifying Ochoa and other content creators such as Peso Pluma and Gail Toys with the Sinaloa Cartel.

Camilo Ochoa himself repeatedly stated on social media and in interviews, including with journalist Adela Micha, that the campaign of threats against YouTubers, influencers, and musicians stemmed from personal interests within drug trafficking. He identified Dámaso López Serrano (‘El Mini Lic’), a member of La Mayiza, an arm linked to Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, alias “El Mayito Flaco,” as the main proponent of the intimidating messages.

The former member of the Sinaloa Cartel explained that his appearance in the flyers distributed in Culiacán, Sinaloa, on January 9, was due to personal enmities and not direct links to criminal activities. He stated that “El Mini Lic” sought the collaboration of “Mayito Flaco” after Ochoa criticized Dámaso’s father, which triggered an escalation of threats.
