Last Monday, August 11, we informed you of the death of Mexican rocker Óscar Lerma, known as “El Guadaña Jr.” The son of David Lerma “El Guadaña,” the late vocalist of Banda Bostik. The musician was reportedly murdered moments before taking the stage in the municipality of Cuautitlán in the State of Mexico.
According to reports, Óscar Lerma “El Guadaña Jr.” was killed during an armed attack while he was waiting in his car. Authorities are investigating whether it was a direct attack or the victim of a shootout that occurred in the area where he was scheduled to perform.
Following Óscar Lerma’s death, the urban rock band “Banda Bostik” issued a statement regarding the tragic events. Several internet users questioned them for not commenting on the death of David Lerma’s son, their former vocalist who died last May.
In the recording, the members of Banda Bostik lamented the tragedy the Lerma family is experiencing following the deaths of David Lerma “El Guadaña” and Óscar Lerma “El Guadaña Jr.” They expressed their condolences to all those affected by what happened in the last three months.
They later asked their social media users and fans of national rock music not to speculate about the manner of Óscar Lerma “El Guadaña Jr.’s death, as they are making unrealistic comments that are damaging his career.
