Ismael El Mayo Zambada will not face the death penalty in the US after the US prosecutor dropped his request.
According to a court document published by journalist Keegan Hamilton, prosecutor Joseph Nocella Jr. informed the judge in charge of the case and authorities that the death penalty will not be sought against Ismael Zambada García, former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel.
