The family of Sagid Carrasco, a father originally from Michoacán, died on July 22nd during a vacation at a hotel located in Ixtapa, in the municipality of Zihuatanejo, after getting into a jacuzzi. Now, his family has released some of the last words he said before his death.
The hotel where the tragedy occurred issued a statement confirming the “sensitive death” of one of its guests and reiterated that it has cooperated with the authorities, who are already investigating what happened just over a week ago, when Sagid Rodolfo died on its premises.
The resort is located on the beach and offers suites and villas through memberships to its members, who even pay for the hotel’s maintenance, as was the case with the CarreĂłn family, who had been vacationing for four days as part of the summer season.
EstefanĂa, Sagid’s wife, recounted that on July 22, her husband and one of their children decided to get into the jacuzzi in their suite. However, he began to notice something strange, as the small pool had a hydromassage system and interior lights.
“We thought it was a joke and started laughing, and he said, ‘No, I really feel shocks.’ I got up from the lounge chair I was sitting on, put my foot in the jacuzzi, and indeed, I felt a shock. I had an anklet on, and I felt the water pull the anklet under me,” EstefanĂa told journalist Crystal MendĂvil.
