At the end of the hearing for Ximena “N,” known as “Lady Racista,” it was announced that the judge determined that she must apologize to the police officer who assaulted her with racist and classist insults on July 3 in the Condesa neighborhood of Mexico City.

“Lady Racista” was sentenced to prosecution for the crime of discrimination after hurling xenophobic insults at a police officer who tried to arrest her. However, she will not go to prison. The judge determined that she will not be allowed to leave the country, as she must sign in monthly and perform community service at the National Council to Prevent Discrimination (Conapred). She must also attend talks to understand what discrimination is within eight months. The hearing took place amid heavy security, as last Friday a group of protesters threw liquids and insults at the model. Therefore, security was reinforced outside the courthouse located in the Doctores neighborhood on Monday.

Protesters arrived outside the courthouse where the hearing was held to express their rejection of the acts of discrimination and racism committed by the woman. They placed banners reading “Long Live Mexico” and “Out with the Lady Racista.” They expected her to leave through the main door, but Ximena left the courthouse hidden in a red vehicle to avoid being attacked.

Lady Racista Will Not Be Able to Leave the Country

The Argentine-born model sparked controversy on social media after a video was leaked in which she resisted a traffic officer placing an immobilizer on her vehicle because she refused to pay the parking meter. Ximena “N” reacted violently and aggressively, hurling insults and insults.

The images were shared on social media, where she was harshly criticized for her actions. Given the virality of the case, she issued a statement offering an apology, however, the tone seemed to justify her actions. The attack occurred on July 3 in the Condesa neighborhood.

The Argentine model was recorded insulting the traffic officer, calling him a “fucking Indian” and “fucking black,” and even exclaiming, “I hate black people like you.” Discrimination is not considered a serious crime, so the penalty is 1 to 3 years in prison. In this case, only precautionary measures were issued, and she will be able to continue her trial at liberty.
