Emma Coronel, wife of former Sinaloa Cartel leader Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, celebrated her 36th birthday surrounded by sun and sea, in what appeared to be a very intimate celebration aboard a yacht.
The images from the trip, shared through her official Instagram account (@emma.coronel.official), show the model and influencer enjoying various water activities, far removed from her prison life in the United States, from which she was released in September 2023.
The photos from the celebration quickly captured the attention of her more than 438,000 followers. Dressed in bikinis, wide-brimmed hats, beach skirts, and sunglasses, Coronel posed on the deck of a boat, at coastal lookouts, and on a jet ski, revealing a relaxed and controlled side of her current media presence.
The celebration included boat rides through crystal-clear waters, jet ski rides, walks through ocean-view lookouts, and relaxing moments in the sun.
In several images, Coronel wears a white woven bikini paired with a blue mesh skirt, light-colored sandals, and light blue nail polish. She also appeared on a jet ski wearing a life jacket, enjoying the speed of the open sea.
In the photos, she gives a better look at her new hairstyle: straight, deep black, and above her shoulders, leaving behind the brown and blonde shades she wore the previous year.
Her sister, Claudia Coronel; designer April Black Diamond—who dressed her at Milan Fashion Week 2024—and stylist Sergio Arévalo were some of the people who sent their congratulations to the Durango native.
One of the most notable was that of Mariel Colón, El Chapo Guzmán’s former lawyer and current singer, who also dedicated a video to him in which she performed Las Mañanitas and Happy Birthday. Colón also collaborated with Coronel on the music video for the song La Señora.
