Juan Castano knows what he’s talking about. With thirty-eight years of experience in the financial sector, he’s an expert—but not the kind who is only out for personal gain. For Juan, the success of his company, FFA Financial Group, depends on community involvement and the opportunities the company offers.

“I’m interested in seeing our people make progress, move forward, and think about the future. For example, during these times when people are spending more time at home, we train them to become insurance agents for our company so they can work from home. I also want them to share that spirit of well-being with the community and offer them the best options to plan for their future,” says Castano, founder and CEO of the company.

FFA Financial Group is based in Houston, but it has recently started expanding the opportunities it offers in California.

“We have many options for our community. We focus on four areas: Life Insurance, Financial Planning, Health Insurance, and Investments and Annuities,” says Laura Stopani, Chief Development Director of the company.

Unlike many other companies, FFA Financial places special attention on communication, information, and training for the Latino community.

“We cover all the needs. We know that many people think they can’t get health insurance, but our community suffers from many health issues—diabetes, for example. Many people don’t have legal immigration status, but we have solutions for them,” says Luis De La Garza, president of the company.

They believe in engaging personally with those who come to learn about their services.

“It’s important that people get to know us, that there is transparency,” adds De La Garza. “No one has brought them this information before, but we’re here and ready to share it with them.”

Castaños points to the thousands of agents they have across the country.

“We like to give people jobs, to help them benefit—that’s something different about our company. With us, insurance agents can earn commissions that no one else offers. We offer unmatched working conditions,” he says.

Right now, FFA Financial is expanding, and they hope to soon reach every corner of the Latino market.

“We believe in the importance of building a financial legacy for your family. We know that the path to financial security can be challenging, but we are here to provide you with the support and guidance you need to overcome those obstacles,” they state on the company’s website.

The company is clear about one thing: without financial education, economic progress is not possible. People need to learn how money works, develop a plan that suits their individual needs, and think about the legacy they will leave for their families. When individuals understand this, the path to financial stability becomes much easier.
