For this reason, film director Guillermo del Toro sends a message to the entire Mexican community living in Mexico.
“Fear is natural, but we mustn’t let it defeat us. In the current climate of uncertainty, knowing your rights, being informed, and relying on your community gives you power. Visit the consulate and get informed, create support networks. I also remind you that you can call CIAM.”
He added: “Fear is faced with information and unity. Remember: knowing your rights is your best tool. The Mexican consulate is a service center and should be there to help you.”
