On the afternoon of Friday, May 30, 2025, an armed attack rocked the Playas de Tijuana area in Baja California, leaving four people dead and two more injured from gunshot wounds.
According to the Municipal Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPCM), the incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. and triggered a police operation in the area to locate those responsible.
According to the official report, the Municipal Police were initially alerted about a person wounded by a firearm.
After inspecting the interior of the building, four people were located who, despite receiving medical attention, were pronounced dead at the scene.
In response to these events, the Municipal Police, in coordination with other agencies, deployed an operation in the area to locate the alleged perpetrators. According to witnesses, the assailants fled on foot after the attack. So far, no arrests have been reported in connection with the case.
The home where the incident occurred has been placed under the protection of the State Attorney General’s Office, which will conduct the corresponding investigations to clarify what happened and locate those responsible. Authorities have not provided further details regarding the identity of the victims or a possible motive for the attack.
