The case of Carlota, the elderly woman who is being held in the Chalco prison after shooting a family on her property, will be released on streaming platforms.

Last Friday, a judge ordered that the case be investigated for the next five months, so it won’t be determined until October whether Carlota N. and her two children are guilty of the deaths of two people.

Now, a trailer released by Producciones Aldama (a Mexican film production company) has gone viral on social media, announcing ‘Carlota: The Hitwoman Grandmother,’ which will be based on the case.

The synopsis of the story reads: “Carlota and her husband Adolfo live a simple life, surviving on their pension and worrying about their home in Chalco, State of Mexico.”

And she adds: “However, her world turns upside down when a group of swindlers invades her uninhabited house in Chalco and falsifies documents to sell it.”

While a network of legal corruption backs the invaders, Carlota is forced to fight for what belongs to her, confronting a rotten system that doesn’t favor the innocent.

The film’s description ends by saying that Carlota is willing to do anything to get what’s hers back, “even bringing out her darkest side.”

According to one of the messages that have been responded to on the ‘Aldama Cine TV’ YouTube channel, the full film will premiere next week on that platform.
