Maluma lashes out at social media during a concert: “Son una mierda””

Maluma had one of the most special nights of his career; during his recent concert in Medellín, he not only captivated the audience with his music, he also opened his heart to them.

The Colombian singer took a moment to reflect on the impact social media has had on society, especially on the lives of young people.

“I want to tell the young people in the stands that social media is shit. If you don’t know how to use it, it’s going to be using you. You’re going to be comparing yourself and saying, ‘I want to be like that person,'” he said.

The “Borró Cassette” singer asked his audience to live outside the monitors, with real people, and above all, not to let a message in the comment box affect their lives:

“Everything that appears on social media is false, because those who live fully, those who live in peace, don’t live on social media. A comment, a like doesn’t define you or make you a better person,” he added to applause.
