Sofía Vergara continues to promote the Netflix series Griselda, set to premiere on January 25. In several interviews, she emphasizes the significance of increased Latino representation in Hollywood
During one of her interviews, Sofía was reminded of her desire to shed her Colombian accent and discussed the insufficient representation of Latin talent in these productions.
“‘I’m not the best person to complain because I can’t do it,’ Sofía acknowledged. ‘However, logically, there are fewer opportunities because the writers are gringos, and they write about what they know. We need more Latin writers. That’s why I produced Griselda—I wanted to do a drama, and they didn’t offer it to me,'” she explained.
