The follow-up hearing in the criminal case against Ovidio Guzmán López—known as “El Ratón”—in the United States has been postponed once again, now rescheduled for April 14, 2027, according to a document from a Chicago court.

This marks the second time in less than a month that Guzmán López’s appearance before Judge Sharon Coleman, of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, has been delayed.

The hearing was originally set for October 28, then rescheduled for December 7, and has now been set for April of next year.

Guzmán López, the son of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán Loera, pleaded guilty on July 11 to various charges related to drug trafficking, money laundering, and the possession of firearms, following his extradition to the United States by the Mexican government.
