Federal and State Forces arrested Alexis, regional operator of the CJNG in Uruapan, in Zapopan, related to the execution of Carlos Manzo

A coordinated operation between federal and state corporations led to the arrest of Alexis in the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco.

The detainee is identified as a regional operator of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) in Uruapan, Michoacán, and a key objective in the investigations into the execution of municipal president Carlos Manzo.

The head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), Omar García Harfuch, confirmed the action through his official channels, highlighting the institutional collaboration between the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Michoacán, the Security Secretariat of Michoacán, the SSPC, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA), the Secretariat of the Navy (SEMAR), the National Guard (GN) and authorities of Jalisco.

According to intelligence reports, Alexis assumed operational command of the criminal structure in Uruapan after the arrest of Jorge Armando, “El Licensed”, who is under trial for masterminding the murder of the mayor.

With this arrest, the authorities add 32 people brought to justice for their direct or indirect connection with the murder of Mayor Carlos Manzo, consolidating the progress in the investigations led by the institutions of the Security Cabinet.
