President Claudia Sheinbaum made official the main show that will grace the Zócalo of Mexico City during the patriotic celebrations on September 15.
Through a publication on her social networks, the president confirmed that the emblematic Norteño and Tejano music group, Intocable, will lead the massive concert in the Plaza de la Constitución.
In a reel shared on her Instagram account, the head of the federal Executive is seen using headphones while listening to the iconic song Y todo para qué?, one of the biggest hits of the band led by Ricky Muñoz.
“Are you ready for September 15?” wrote the President in the publication that went viral, accompanied by images where she anticipated the national holiday.
The Intocable concert in the capital’s Zócalo will be part of the activities of the Cry of Independence 2026, one of the most anticipated celebrations by citizens.
The show will be free and will be part of the dates scheduled in the Cultura Tour 2026 that the band from Zapata, Texas, performs throughout the country.
Although the capital authorities and the federal government will finish fine-tuning the logistics of the event, it is expected that the group’s presentation will begin prior to the formal ceremony of the Cry of Independence—led by the President from the main balcony of the National Palace—and will continue after the civic ceremony and the pyrotechnics and lights show.
