During an operation conducted this Wednesday against Heraclio Guerrero Martínez—alias “El Tío Lako”—the daughter and the romantic partner of this criminal leader, who belongs to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), were arrested.
A statement released by federal forces indicated that, based on military intelligence work, Special Forces from the Mexican Army and the National Guard—in coordination with the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, the Attorney General’s Office, and the Navy—carried out a precision operation this Wednesday. The operation took place in the localities of Tinaja de Vargas and Colesio (in the municipalities of Tanhuato and Ecuandureo, Michoacán, respectively), resulting in the arrest of nine members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
The statement confirmed the arrests of Marisol “N” and Lourdes “N,” identified as the daughter and the romantic partner of “El Tío Lako,” respectively. “El Tío Lako” is the regional chief of this criminal organization in the states of Michoacán and Jalisco; he is responsible for ordering attacks against the National Guard on February 22, 2026, following the death of Rubén Oseguera Cervantes—alias “El Mencho”—the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
