Valeria Márquez, 23, was killed on May 13, 2025, while she was livestreaming from her beauty salon, Blossom The Beauty Lounge, in Zapopan, Jalisco. According to authorities, a man entered the business posing as a delivery worker and shot her. The case is being investigated under the femicide protocol.
Before her death, Valeria had publicly expressed concerns about threats allegedly connected to her former relationship. Posts and messages shared after her death showed that she had previously spoken about feeling unsafe, although investigators have continued gathering evidence to determine responsibility for the crime.
