The director of the Doenitz military-style school was arrested by agents from the Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office after being charged with the femicide of Dafne Zapata Quintos, a 13-year-old girl.

Jorge Luis “N”—a 63-year-old architect—was taken into custody this Saturday by Investigative Police officers executing an arrest warrant issued by a Control Judge of the Sixth Judicial Region, under case file CE/0309/2026.

The investigation is being led by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Investigation of Femicide and Intentional Homicide of Women (Southern Zone).

Following his arrest, the accused was transferred to the custody of the judge who issued the warrant; he remains detained at the Prosecutor’s Office facilities in Ciudad Madero, where criminal proceedings will continue.

This arrest marks the most significant breakthrough in the investigation into Dafne’s death—a case that sparked outrage and demands for justice among relatives, parents, and the community at large.

The accused is expected to appear before a judge in the coming hours for an initial hearing, during which the Public Prosecutor will formally present the charges and request appropriate precautionary measures.
