Enrique Inzunza Reappears in Badiraguato; Not Fearing Extradition

Senator Enrique Inzunza Cázarez reappeared this afternoon in Badiraguato, where he announced that he will begin work with the Senate’s Permanent Commission on May 6.

The legislator posted a video on his social media accounts after not having appeared in the Senate since Wednesday, April 29, when it was revealed that he, Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, and eight other officials were indicted in a New York court for alleged ties to the Chapitos (El Chapo’s sons).

“Greetings from my hometown, Badiraguato, Sinaloa, where I return every weekend to walk its trails and listen to the birds sing,” he stated on his account. In a video recorded at his home, he explained that he usually goes there every weekend to recharge in the mountains and visit those who are his mentors.

She mentions that she is reading about the life of Benito Juárez and preparing for the Permanent Commission.

“This week, on Wednesday, we will be beginning the work of the Permanent Commission,” she stated.
