In an operation that culminated in a chase through the streets of the Coyoacán borough, officers from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC-CDMX) arrested Erick, alias “La Besucona.” The detainee has been identified as a priority target and the leader of a hitman cell dedicated to street-level drug dealing and the execution of rivals in the eastern sector of the capital. The Secretary of Citizen Security, Pablo Vázquez Camacho, reported that the arrest was the result of intelligence work focused on dismantling groups that generate violence. “La Besucona” operated primarily in the Iztapalapa borough, where he coordinated the sale and distribution of narcotics, thereby establishing himself as one of the key figures driving criminal activity in that district.

Investigations by the capital’s police force directly link Erick to at least four executions carried out as part of a turf war for territorial control against rival criminal groups. Prominent among the cases comprising his criminal record is an execution perpetrated by his hitmen in December 2025—an event that marked a significant escalation of violence along the borders of the eastern boroughs.

The arrest took place in the Country Club neighborhood, where officers intercepted the suspect following a tactical deployment. Upon searching him, authorities seized the following items from “La Besucona”:

23 doses of suspected narcotics, packaged for sale.
10 live cartridges of various calibers.
