The United States government, through the Department of Justice (DOJ), released a new batch of over three million pages of Epstein’s files on January 30. Following the release of this second batch of documents, numerous names from various spheres have come to light, including Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and Howard Lutnick, among others.
In addition to those mentioned above, the names of Mexicans such as businessman Ricardo Salinas Pliego, Emilio Azcárraga Milmo, and Carlos Slim Helú also appear in the pages released by the DOJ. For example, document EFTA01794970 shows what appears to be an email sent by John Brockman, creator of Edge, at 1:16 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, to various individuals, including the president of Grupo Salinas.
Among the recipients are Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon; Jeffrey Epstein, American financier and convicted sex offender; and Elon Musk, billionaire and CEO of Tesla, among many others. The body of the email appears to be a series of directions to an event.
Salinas Pliego and Carlos Slim were named.
From the convention center, walk north on Pine Avenue. Pass the entrance to the L’Opera restaurant to a staircase on the left that leads to the basement. This is a private entrance that leads directly to the dining room from the street. (Do not use the restaurant entrance.) A staff member will be waiting at the bottom of the staircase with the guest list and photos, so there is no need to bring conference credentials. Guests only, please. “If you arrive at the Alegría restaurant, you will have walked too far,” the email reads.
It also includes an invitation to visit the Edge website. However, important information, such as the sender’s last name, was redacted.
Carlos Slim was also mentioned in the Epstein files, specifically in file EFTA00667648, where an email sent from the convicted sex offender’s address “jeevacation@gmail.com” on January 15, 2010, mentions the Mexican magnate.
“Should I marry you or Carlos Slim?” the message reads.
