Following the armed attack at a soccer field in the community of Loma de Flores, in the municipality of Salamanca, Guanajuato, which left 11 people dead and 10 injured, questions arose about the motive for the massacre, who was responsible, and whether organized crime groups in the region were involved.

According to federal sources consulted by Infobae Mexico, the attack was allegedly perpetrated by a group linked to the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel (CSRL) in the context of the dispute with the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

The group in question is identified as “Los Marros,” and is allegedly led by Mario Eleazar Lara Belman, known as “Negro,” “Camorro,” or “Gallo,” one of the main targets of the state’s security forces.

According to reports corroborated by this media outlet, the surnames of the man in question could be related to members of the CSRL, specifically since its founding.
