Kenia Os’s recent statements about the beginning of her relationship with Peso Pluma generated immediate reactions on social media, particularly from the singer’s ex-girlfriends, who posted a series of messages and images that were interpreted as veiled jabs and have earned them criticism from internet users.
The first to react was Hannah Howell, who dated the singer for approximately three months.
Howell stated that she was present throughout the entire filming process of the music video “Tommy y Pamela,” the same one in which Kenia Os recounted in the interview with Adela Micha that the attraction between her and Peso Pluma arose.
According to the model, that version doesn’t correspond to reality, and she maintained that during that period she was still the singer’s girlfriend. Furthermore, she stated that Peso Pluma made negative comments about Kenia Os’s appearance: “I’ll stay silent because neither of them wants me to publish the things he said about her that I have in our messages and all the horrible things he said to me about her appearance while we were filming that video,” she wrote.
She also mocked Kenia’s claims about being the first woman to make Peso Pluma nervous, asserting that “he said that to everyone he knew.”
On the other hand, Diana Esparragoza, the granddaughter of drug trafficker Juan José Esparragoza Moreno, alias “El Azul,” was another woman who posted after the interview.
In the interview, Kenia Os recounted that one of her first direct contacts with Peso Pluma was through an Instagram story related to typical Sinaloan food. She narrated that she was preparing a Sinaloan barbecue and that, when she shared it on her stories, Peso Pluma responded.
According to Kenia, that exchange was significant because they are both originally from Sinaloa, and those kinds of gestures helped them get to know each other better and sparked an attraction between them.
“I was making… like a Sinaloa-style barbecue. And well, we’re both from Sinaloa, right? We have family. And he answers me like, ‘Oh, you know how to make barbecue?’ Like, no, wow, he said, ‘No, what a woman,’ and I don’t know what. And back then, whenever he was single, he would always like my posts and reply to my stories and stuff. And I was like, ‘Oh, come on, what’s the point? I mean, what’s the point?’ (laughs) ‘I mean, I don’t believe you at all. Don’t even bother writing to me anymore. Bye. I mean, I don’t believe you at all. I mean, because he was flirting with me.’”
In that context, Diana Esparragoza shared a series of images on her Instagram account that quickly went viral and were interpreted as a response or direct allusion to Kenia Os.
In one of the stories, Diana appears cooking in the kitchen of a luxury hotel, the Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas, with the exact date indicated: October 23, 2024. The image reads: “Here preparing Sinaloan machaca” next to a laughing emoji.
