On January 20, Mexico carried out another round of drug traffickers being extradited to the United States, including Ricardo González Sauceda, alias El Ricky, and Pedro Inzunza Noriega, alias El Señor de la Silla.
Authorities revealed the first names of the 37 drug lords handed over. Here’s who they are and what is known about them.
The most prominent profiles among the transferred drug lords are:
Ricardo González Sauceda, alias El Ricky, regional leader of the Northeast Cartel with operations in the states of Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas. He was transferred to San Antonio, Texas.
Pedro Inzunza Noriega, alias El Señor de la Silla or El Sagitario, father of Pedro Inzunza Coronel, second-in-command of the Beltrán Leyva Cartel. He was transferred to San Diego, California.
Juan Pablo Bastidas Erenas, alias Payo Zurita, a logistics operator for the Beltrán Leyva Cartel, collaborated with Fausto Isidro Meza Flores, alias Chapo Isidro, and Óscar Manuel Gastélum, alias El Músico, the leader and lieutenant of that organization. He was transferred to San Diego, California.
Armando Gómez Núñez, alias Delta1, leader of Los Deltas, a faction of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), was transferred to Dulles, Washington.
Daniel Alfredo Blanco Joo, alias El Cubano, a logistics operator for the Sinaloa Cartel, responsible for drug trafficking into the United States, is considered a priority target by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He was transferred to Houston, Texas.
