The recent arrest of Pedro Inzunza Noriega, alias “El Sagitario” (The Sagittarius), generated an unusual reaction from the United States Embassy in Mexico.

Through its official Twitter account, the diplomatic mission posted an image of the Sinaloa cartel leader, along with the phrase “Mercury Retrograde for Sagittarius,” a mocking reference to the detainee’s nickname and the astrological phenomenon.

The post was made as part of “Justice Thursday,” a weekly publication where the embassy compiles the main developments in bilateral security.

They also shared another illustration, quoting FBI Director Kash Patel’s reaction to Inzunza’s capture.

According to information obtained by Infobae Mexico, “El Sagitario” is identified as having been second in command in the Beltrán Leyva Cartel, an organization led by Fausto Isidro Meza Flores, alias “El Chapo Isidro”.
