During her visit to Veracruz, where she participated in commemorations and historical inaugurations throughout the state, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo met with actress Salma Hayek.
On her social media, the Mexican president posted a photo with the Veracruz-born actress, who has starred in films such as “From Dusk Till Dawn” and “Eternals.”
“Mexican Women,” the President of Mexico wrote on her social media, highlighting the work of both women.
It is worth noting that this Sunday, Sheinbaum Pardo cut the ribbon inaugurating the Benito Juárez House Museum, where the “Benemérito de las Américas” (Hero of the Americas) lived in Veracruz with his cabinet. She also inaugurated the new automated customs facility.
In addition, she commemorated the Bicentennial of the Consolidation of Independence at Sea at the San Juan de Ulúa Fortress.
Previously, in June 2025, Claudia Sheinbaum had acknowledged the work of the actress from Coatzacoalcos in defending Mexicans in the United States, following raids carried out by ICE.
“There have been several artists who have been gaining recognition, one of them was Salma Hayek, and I truly acknowledge her,” she said at her morning press conference on June 13.
