Authorities in Tampico and Ciudad Madero implemented joint operations to monitor risk areas, coordinate surveillance actions, and ensure the safety of families living along the banks of the tributary.
Following instructions from the mayor of Tampico, Mónica Zacil Villarreal Anaya, the Municipal Civil Protection Council and the Early Warning System activated inspection patrols in various riverside areas.
Authorities urged families living near the river to evacuate as soon as necessary and reminded residents that temporary shelters are available at the following locations:
Municipal Auditorium.
North Zone Delegation.
Wellness and Peace Center in the Vicente Guerrero neighborhood, Moscow sector.
“The call is to remain calm, avoid rumors, and stay informed only through official channels. River levels are being constantly monitored,” the Municipal Civil Protection Council stated.
