Lupillo Rivera continues to make people talk after the release of his book “Tragos Amargos,” in which he not only reviews the toughest moments of his career and personal life, but also some intimate episodes with Belinda, with whom he had a relationship that continues to arouse curiosity among fans.
The singer dedicates several passages of the text to recalling how his connection with the Sapito singer began, the affectionate gestures they shared, and, ultimately, the estrangement that marked the end of their relationship. One of the most talked-about chapters details the occasion when Belinda decided to personally make him breakfast, a gesture that, according to Rivera, reflected the type of relationship they were experiencing at the time.
Before going into the details of that domestic scene, the man also known as “El Toro del Corrido” (The Bull of Corrido) describes in detail the way Belinda used to introduce herself to him, recalling her presence with a mixture of admiration and surprise.
“Very pretty, dressed in blue jeans, a silver-white jacket, and a spectacular hairstyle,” the singer himself wrote in his book.
Lupillo also recalls how he began to notice the first signs of tension between them, recounting a situation in which the singer’s body language took him by surprise.
“I noticed she was grabbing my hand tightly and wouldn’t let go,” the text quotes. “I turned to Juan with a phrase in English: ‘I’m gonna have trouble.'”
As time passed, their relationship went through moments of distance and confusion. Rivera recalls an awkward conversation in which he tried to clarify their feelings, but received a cold response.
“Hey, Beli, did I offend you in any way? Or just tell me. Excuse me for anything.” Belinda replied: “No, nothing. I just don’t want to talk to you.”
Despite this, the singer maintains that the attraction between them was evident, to the point of provoking direct and sincere challenges between the two.
“If it’s true that you like me, then give me a kiss, let’s see if it’s true.”
