This Saturday, October 4, the arrest of Omar “N,” former Chivas and Mexican national team forward, was reported for alleged aggravated child sexual abuse. The 44-year-old Mexican was detained by investigative police officers and has been placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The arrest was made at 6:30 p.m. by investigative police officers assigned to the Deputy Prosecutor’s Office for Specialized Investigations in Attention to Women, Girls, Boys, Adolescents, Gender, and Family, during an operation carried out in the center of the municipality of Zapopan.
Authorities mention that after a complaint was filed, an investigation file was compiled, which led to an arrest warrant being obtained for the Mexican, which was then processed through the Tenth Court of Control, Prosecution, and Comprehensive Justice for Adolescents of the First Judicial District.
They also reported that in the coming hours, Omar “N” will be brought before the court that issued the warrant. According to investigations, it appears that the suspect allegedly abused a teenager on several occasions in recent months. It is presumed that he has previously committed similar acts.
The former Mexican soccer player was arrested after being charged with aggravated child sexual abuse this Saturday, October 4, at around 6:30 p.m. on the streets of Zapopan, Jalisco. It should be noted that during his soccer career, he played for Chivas from 2001 to 2008 and from 2014 to 2016, where he is the top scorer.
In Liga MX he also played for teams such as his arch-rivals Atlas, Tigres and Cruz Azul.
