Miguel de la Mora, a renowned stylist whose clients included Ángela Aguilar, was shot to death outside his business, Micky’s Hair Salon Masaryk, in Polanco, Mexico City, on September 29.

According to the Mexico City Citizen Security Secretariat, two individuals on a motorcycle arrived at the establishment located on Moliere Street, near the corner of Presidente Masaryk Avenue, in the Miguel Hidalgo borough, when one of them got out of the vehicle and shot the 28-year-old stylist directly.

“The corresponding investigations are underway, based on the analysis of video surveillance cameras in the area,” the SSC reported.

Who was Miguel de la Mora, the stylist to the stars?

Miguel de la Mora Larios, known as “Micky,” was the stylist to celebrities in Mexico. He styled beauty queens, artists, and influencers such as Ángela Aguilar, Kenia Os, and María Fernanda Beltrán Figueroa, who represented Mexico at Miss Universe 2024. At 28, he was at the peak of his career. It wasn’t easy to schedule an appointment at his business in Mexico City.

Before his death, the stylist had launched a giveaway in collaboration with influencer Priscila Escoto: 200 grams of Brazilian extensions, the best hair, “Micky” noted on his social media.
