Julio César Chávez Jr. is already in Mexico to face justice for his alleged ties to the Sinaloa Cartel. One day after his deportation, it was revealed what the Mexican boxer looks like after spending a month and a half in a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center.
On July 2, Julio César Chávez Jr. was detained in California by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel because he was illegally in the United States due to his visa overstay. After being detained, he was subjected to a process known as expedited deportation.
U.S. authorities classified “El Junior” as a threat to public safety because they indicated that he is an active member of the “Sinaloa Cartel.” It was also reported that after his deportation, he would be handed over to Mexican authorities due to his alleged responsibility in the commission of organized crime and arms trafficking, charges for which he had an active arrest warrant since March 2023.
