Mexican-American singer Irvin Salinas Martínez, known professionally as Pee Wee, has made headlines again after his arrest in Edinburg, Texas, on the night of Sunday, August 10, 2025.
This incident marks the second time the former Kumbia Kings vocalist has faced legal trouble for the same reason: driving under the influence (DWI).
The arrest has generated a stir on social media, where the artist’s fans are expressing concern about his personal and legal situation.
According to reports, Pee Wee was arrested around 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, in Edinburg, Texas, after being caught driving while intoxicated.
This is not the singer’s first encounter with authorities for this crime, as he was also arrested in January 2024 in Hidalgo County, Texas, on the same charge.
On that occasion, he was able to regain his freedom after posting bail of approximately $1,500.
According to reports, Pee Wee’s legal team is already working to arrange for his release on bail, although a repeat offense could complicate his legal situation, putting him at risk of more severe penalties.
The Department of Public Safety document indicates that Pee Wee was arrested on the same charge of drunk driving. Unlike the previous record, bail is set at $5,000, and at the time of issuance of the document, he had not yet been released.
