Members of Interpol and the International Police Affairs Unit arrested Priest Antonio María Cabrera Cabrera for the crime of rape of a minor.
The priest’s arrest took place at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM), where members of the State of Mexico Attorney General’s Office, in collaboration with the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office and with the support of Interpol Mexico, detained him and served the arrest warrant.
According to the Edomex Public Prosecutor’s Office, the former director of the Faculty of Bioethics at Anáhuac University is wanted by authorities for the crime of rape: “since on several occasions he allegedly sexually assaulted a minor victim in a building located in the municipality of Naucalpan.”
“One of the incidents occurred on May 16, 2004, when he allegedly subdued the victim to commit the assault. On April 28, 2007, the suspect allegedly threatened to rape her. Similarly, on December 23, 2011, the suspect allegedly sexually assaulted the victim again,” reported the Edomex Prosecutor’s Office, which indicated that a complaint was filed against the priest in December 2024.
