Los Tucanes de Tijuana are in the midst of controversy after their performance at the Palenque de la Feria Santa Rita (Chihuahua) on May 31.
Local media reported that the concert began normally and the group performed their most popular songs, such as “La Chona” and “El Tucanazo.”
However, during the show, they performed at least three prohibited songs, leading the Chihuahua City Council to confirm a fine against the group led by Mario Quintero.
The Chihuahua City Council reported that it has opened a detailed investigation to determine the fine that will be imposed on the group.
It was reported that the group had left a deposit of 700,000 pesos to perform at the palenque, so they must cover the total sum, which will be more than 900,000 pesos.
