Cain Velasquez expressed gratitude for the help he’s received since facing the attempted premeditated murder case against the man who allegedly sexually abused his minor son.
Recently, in a Basemnt Talk podcast, which was recorded before his five-year prison sentence, the Mexican-American fighter revealed that, in 2022, Dana White paid the bail he was granted after being charged with the chase in which he fired a gun at the alleged rapist.
“I don’t know if he gave a statement or anything like that before they locked me up, and he also paid my bail. So they’re helping me,” Cain said.
Cain Velasquez’s last hearing was last March, where he was sentenced to five years in prison. He still has additional hearings related to the crime he’s accused of.
Judge Arthur Bocanegra sentenced him to only five years in prison, given the years he had already spent in jail and under house arrest.
