Pepe Aguilar rips into American doctors while his son throws punches and Ángela’s husband brags about her empire.
The singer shared that he had a bad experience at a hospital in Houston, Texas.
“It’s like they don’t give a damn.” That’s how Pepe Aguilar summed up his feelings after receiving medical care in the United States—an experience that, according to him, left much to be desired.
The “Prometiste” singer did a livestream where he shared the unfortunate situation he faced with some doctors in Houston, Texas, the city where he currently resides. In the video, posted to his Instagram account, the son of Antonio Aguilar recalled that, in his youth, Houston was considered “the hospital for the wealthy,” and that many people even traveled from Mexico to get treatment there. However, in his family’s case, his parents, Flor Silvestre and Don Antonio Aguilar, never went to Texas for healthcare, as they were very accustomed to Mexican doctors.
“Doctors in Mexico are more human. I don’t know how many of you relate to doctors in the U.S., but come on—they treat my dogs better at the vet,” he said, visibly annoyed.
Pepe shared that, due to his age, he’s now starting to go for medical checkups more frequently, but the experience hasn’t been pleasant. “Here it’s like, ‘okay man, sit there, tell me your story, and confess your sins.’ They make you confess everything, then leave you there waiting, alone, sad, and abandoned,” he said.
He explained that he and his wife visited a young dermatologist and criticized how long she took to see him. “Half an hour just to examine me—but fine… the point is, don’t skip going to the doctor. It’s important,” he added.
He also mentioned that in the three years he’s been living in Texas, this was the first time he had gone to a medical consultation. He advised his audience that, if they have health insurance, they shouldn’t waste it.
Meanwhile, the Aguilar family continues to make headlines beyond healthcare concerns.
Pepe’s son, Emiliano Aguilar, was recently caught in a physical altercation with one of Jenni Rivera’s ex-partners, a confrontation that reportedly escalated to the point of punches being thrown—and even blood being drawn. The incident was caught on video and quickly went viral, drawing both criticism and concern from fans.
Additionally, Ángela Aguilar’s husband unintentionally stirred controversy after a video surfaced showing him casually boasting about the large amounts of land Ángela owns in Mexico. His offhand remark—made during a private gathering—sparked backlash on social media, with many users pointing out the tone-deaf nature of the comment given the country’s economic struggles. The couple has yet to respond officially to the backlash, but the clip has added to the growing media attention surrounding the Aguilar dynasty.
