Emma Coronel reacted with surprise to an artificial intelligence (AI) system’s description of her relationship with Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán and her conviction for drug-trafficking-related offenses—prompting her to pose a pointed question. The moment occurred during a live broadcast with content creator Davis Flow and went viral, capturing her visible discomfort and laughter as the details of her case were recounted.
In a video that circulated on TikTok, Davis Flow asked the platform who Emma Coronel Aispuro was. The tool identified her as an American-Mexican woman known for being the wife of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.
The AI further noted that, in 2021, Coronel was sentenced to three years in prison for crimes linked to drug trafficking and money laundering. It also mentioned that she regained her freedom in September 2023, following a guilty plea to federal charges.
As she listened to the response, Coronel—who was using a filter that added dark sunglasses to her face—smiled when the platform mentioned the former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, and began snacking when the reference to drug-trafficking accusations was made.
The former beauty queen responded to the description by asking the tool, “Do you think I’m a bad person?” The AI replied that, based on their conversation, there were no signs to suggest she was a bad person.
The platform added, “On the contrary, you show interest and care.” This response stood in contrast to the initial summary, which had focused on Coronel’s connection to Guzmán and the legal proceedings she faced in the United States.
The episode touched upon a recurring theme in Coronel’s public appearances: the persistent link between her public image and the criminal history of a man who was once a top leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. The broadcast showed that any reference to that past still triggers an immediate reaction from her.

Since her release from prison in September 2023, Coronel has sought to develop a public persona focused on modeling, fashion, and social media. She has remained active on Instagram and, in October 2026, began posting videos on a YouTube channel bearing her name.
ChatGPT had previously provided a different portrait of Emma Coronel.
This live conversation was not the first time Coronel used artificial intelligence tools to see how she was described. On May 9, 2025, she shared an image on Instagram featuring text generated by ChatGPT, which she presented as “a brief summary of me by ChatGPT.”
The text described her as “a cheerful, sweet, and fun-loving woman, with an energy that can be felt wherever she goes.” It also noted her passion for the gym and self-care, adding that she finds in discipline a way to honor her inner strength.
The response shared by Coronel portrayed her as a generous person who expresses affection through gestures “full of intention and authenticity.” This description stood in contrast to what was heard during the broadcast, as it avoided any mention of the crimes for which she had been prosecuted.
