The discovery of five dead members of a family, including three minors, generated an intense mobilization of security corporations in two parts of the municipality of Montemorelos, Nuevo León.
The first event was reported around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of El Sabino and Camino a Hualahuita streets, in the Los Fresnos subdivision.
After receiving alerts about people injured by gunshot wounds, paramedics and police officers went to the scene and located the body of a woman identified as Cinthya Abigail Tamez R and that of a child of approximately three years old inside a red Jeep truck. Both victims had gunshot wounds and had no vital signs.
During the initial inspection of the vehicle, experts from the Institute of Criminalistics and Expert Services seized a firearm to subject it to ballistic studies.
Minutes later, the woman’s relatives arrived at the scene and informed the agents of the State
Investigation Agency (AEI) that the victim had two other children, which led to the immediate deployment of an operation to her home.
At the second point, located on Nogales Street in the Los Nogales neighborhood—a short distance from the first scene—the agents entered the family home and found the lifeless bodies of the other two minors, as well as that of a man identified as Leodegario Moya G, the woman’s partner.
Residents of the sector told the ministerial authorities that during the early morning loud music was heard coming from the property, so there was a gathering in the house.
Forensic and forensic specialists processed both scenes to collect biological and ballistic evidence in order to establish the chronology and mechanics of the case. For its part, the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Nuevo León (FGJENL) keeps the investigation files open to determine the dynamics of what happened and determine responsibilities.
