Panter Bélico performed *corridos* dedicated to Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (alias “El Mencho”), Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, and Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada during the Independence Day celebration in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas, on the night of September 15, 2026.
The audience sang along to the lyrics, and videos of the moment went viral on TikTok hours later.
The setlist included “El primero,” “El dueño del palenque,” “La 701,” and “Ismael”—songs that reference figures and armed groups linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and the Sinaloa Cartel.
The performance took place in the central park, in front of the San Cristóbal Museum (Musac), after Mayor Fabiola Ricci led the civic ceremony and delivered the Independence Day proclamation (*Grito de Independencia*). Panter Bélico took the stage minutes later before a crowd that was already awaiting the musical show.
